Bond yield falls on RBI’s plan to buy additional G-Secs

Opening of 3 Indian Missions in Estonia, Paraguay and Dominican Republic

Opening of 3 Indian Missions in Estonia, Paraguay and Dominican Republic Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister has cleared the proposal from the Ministry of External Affairs to open three missions in Estonia, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic in 2021. While the government had announced the opening of 18 missions in 2018, not all of them have been established yet. 

Eco-Sensitive Zone in Narmada district

  Recently, the tribal communities have been protesting against the Centre’s notification classifying 121 villages around the Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary in Narmada district as eco-sensitive zones. Land belonging to the eco-sensitive zone should be used for agriculture use only and cannot be used for commercial, industrial and residential purpose. Any land can be transferred only after approval from the state government and

Recently, the Election Commission of India (ECI) approached the Law Ministry to permit NRIs to cast their votes from overseas through postal ballots. The EC began to look for options to enable NRIs to vote from overseas after it received several requests from the Ministry of External Affairs.
